I am a Washington born, Colorado raised, and NYC based theatre artist.
I am interested in championing new works, community based ensemble environments, physical theatre, Shakespeare, and the power of play. I am constantly investigating how all of these areas connect and speak to each other.
As an actor, I gravitate towards playing complex women/humans as well as pure character roles. I enjoy tapping into the sensitive and cerebral as much as exploring the physical limits of expression. I employ the improvisational nature of Viewpoints in equal measure to thorough text-based work. I heavily utilize Miller Voice Method to ground me in a state of inspiration, availability and presence. I strive to find a sense of energetic ease through my body and voice when acting under the inevitable pressures of live performance.
Some of my current goals include participating in a versatile range of theatre productions, archiving my personal theatre history/process, and obtaining an MFA in Acting.
Beyond theatre, I enjoy exploring NYC neighborhoods, frequenting public libraries and independent bookstores, cooking, and maximizing the cozy factor in my apartment.
